About the event
Ideally situated for climbing and walking in the Helvellyn massif, and offering good access to Keswick, Ambleside and the majority of the Lake District, it also makes a good staging point on the coast-to-coast walk. Small shops in Patterdale and Glenridding are able to provide supplies whilst there are also several nearby pubs – try the Royal Hotel at Dockray, the Travellers Rest in Glenridding or the White Lion at Patterdale.
