In 1994 I joined a climbing club as a non-climber with the sole intention of getting away on meets to do some hill walking and scrambling. Twenty-nine years later and I count myself so lucky - I've had so many fantastic days out in the mountains, made some great friends and learnt a whole set of skills I never thought I could do. I'll now turn my hand to most mountain activities from trad multipitch climbing, to winter mountaineering, to sea cliff climbing, to alpine trips as well as enjoying my walking and scrambling just as much as ever.
This all comes with a real appreciation of the staggering beauty of the mountain environment and I'm just as happy sitting on a summit watching the world go by as leading an exposed technical 5A pitch in Skye.....well almost!
